Stroke

Throughout human history – from factory assembly lines to computer processors – automation has given us a means to accomplish tasks faster. Atlantic Health System is finding ways to diagnose and treat strokes with the same level of efficiency. We recently introduced RAPID®, an automated software that greatly reduces the time it takes to transmit patient brain images to hospital systems and provider smart phones. This speeds the treatment decision-making process and allows us to perform endovascular clot removal on stroke patients who previously may not have been candidates for such a procedure.
