John wasn’t sure he’d ever be able to ride a motorcycle again when his melanoma continued to progress despite aggressive treatments. One of his oncologists referred him to the Atlantic Melanoma Center, where Eric Whitman, MD was leading a phase II tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) clinical trial that he thought might help. This new type of personalized immunotherapy reversed the growth of John’s melanoma and has him thinking about resurrecting his bike from storage. Read more of his story >
